About the Author

Danielle Schley writes adult fantasy with sharp political tension, emotionally grounded romance, and characters forced to live with the consequences of their choices.

A former advertising executive, she brings a deep respect for craft, structure, and voice to her fiction. Her work explores power, loyalty, disability, and rebellion—both personal and political—within richly imagined worlds where dragons are never just spectacle.

Her debut novel, The Royal Art of Burning bridges launches in May, 2026, with a sequal following by the end of the year. When she isn’t writing, Danielle teaches and choreographs ballet. She lives in Vermont’s Mad River Valley, where the dramatic landscape and deep support of the arts inspire her to write.
